Within the international cooperation delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research delegated to Malaysia, a delegation from Almaaqal University, represented by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Badir Al-Badran, and the Director of the Media and Public Relations Department, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Faraj, participated in the international cooperation program between Iraqi universities and international universities, which started in Malaysia in coordination with The Cultural Attach\u00e9, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahlam Nehme Lafta, and the Strategic Advisor to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Talal Yusaf.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A international cooperation agreement was signed on 24 May 2023 between Almaaqal University and the Malaysian University of Energy (UNITEN) in the presence of the President of UNITEN, the head of the Department of International Affairs and a number of teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This agreement opens the doors of cooperation and understanding between the two universities within the framework of the international cooperation strategy launched by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and under the direct supervision of the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahad.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The terms of this agreement includes training students in joint specialisations between the two universities, facilitating a Visiting Professor program between the two parties, organising joint conferences by the two universities, and preparing joint research studies with the aim of increasing quality research output and strengthening postgraduate programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation was briefed on the university\u2019s research centers and practical laboratories, including the Renewable Energy and Optical Communications Laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation was impressed and full of praise for the progress they saw in urban construction, scientific sobriety, and progress in laboratory equipment.
